So i know that Santa Barbara has a SBCC that easily transfers over to UCSB and that they can live in the same housing as the UC students i was wondering if there is anything like that in IRVINE that can easily be transfered to UCI and if it is a good school with lots of student life like the SB campus.

Yes there are several good community colleges in this area. First of all IVC or irvine valley college. I am in high school, but have taken some classes there and it is a really nice school.

others include Orange coast college, Santiago canyon college, and golden west college, which is a little bit further away.

none of them share rooms with the UCI campus, but all are very close by, and have very good transfer programs to UCI, as well as most any other school in the state.

There are a few community colleges around Irvine. Irvine Valley College and Orange Coast College are the big ones. Neither of them shares housing with UCI, but I guess off campus apartments might be common.

But really, any California community college should transfer to any UC campus the same. Proximity of the campus is not a factor.
