Revelation
|
IMDB rating: 4.70 Plot: Thorold Stone’s family was among those who vanished three months ago, and he is still stung by that fact. Since childhood, he has always been logical and suspicious, and, of course, he’s uncertain whether Franco Macalousso is the Messiah he claims he is. Stone works for Len Parker, who runs One Nation Earth, the organization that rounds up the Haters who stand in Macalousso’s way. Soon, however, he realises that the Christians have been framed, and he has been set up. To prove Macalusso’s true colours, he must band with his own enemies – the Haters themselves, led by Helen Hannah. |

What is YOUR theology?
I recently finished a project for a biblical studies class I’m taking. The class was assigned a project to write about our theology about:
1. The doctrine of Revelation
2. The doctrine of God
3. The doctrine of Christ
4. The doctrine of the Holy Spirit
5. The doctrine of Angels
6. The doctrine of Men
7. The doctrine of Salvation
8. The doctrine of the Church
9. The doctrine of Last Things
10. What is a Christian?
I handed in my project today but realized how much trouble I had with it and wanted to ask about people’s opinions. What do you think about all of this? Are you a Christian? Buddhist? Atheist? What do you believe in or not believe in?
We have a great many gars, sharks, sheepheads, lamper-eels, and every other kind of fish that is to be found, in the pond; the Gospel net has gathered them up, and what may you expect from such a mess? You may expect the best and worst of all God’s creation mingled here together.

Dude. they are all #6 – the doctrine of men.
A christian is someone who isn’t able to distinguish reality from fiction. Also they are able to read a vile piece literature and think it’s beautiful. They are delusional.

I don’t believe in anything at all, I know nothing and am a mere human being with limited understanding of things. Whatever I decide to believe in will most likely be wrong.

You missed one – the doctrine of the Trinity.

A problem with the bible and reading it, you need the Holy Spirit Luke 11:13 to really understand it, because Jesus said my word is spirit, so you need spirit to understand spirit. So that is first….the spirit will guide you into all truth. So that is probably why you are having a hard time to begin with. Then our Father in heaven wants a relationship with us to talk to Him and the bible says in Matt 5 or 6 He will answer. He wants to be your friend, counselor, everything to you. He wants to show you the way to a great life.

I am pagan. I am very close with nature and I look to it for guidance. I chose this religion because I feel that it is right for me I believe that we are all equal and we are put on this earth to learn certain life lessons. I do believe in reincarnation but not hell. I think we pay for our wrong doings in the next life or while we are still here on earth. No matter what, nobody deserves an entirety of damnation, besides what would that teach them? My religion is a very peaceful one that focuses on preserving and protecting the earth. If you have more questions feel free to email me. =]
(And for all you jerks out there that say my life style is a "Sin" I really don’t care what you think of my life style. I live up to my own expectations and am not in this life to please you. Who are you to judge me?)

I do not label myself as part of a religion but what I believe that without question, the only thing that I must do in this life is to Love every individual I meet. Every thought, every word, every deed should be based off of true love, and this is the standard in which I hold my self by. The Bible was written by the human hand, and so what every other religious doctrine, therefore it has it’s flaws. If there is one truth in which is indisputable, it’s that humans are the most ignorant species on earth.

If it is just MY theology, it is of little good.
Those "teaching as doctrine the commandments of men" have a form of worship that is "vain" or useless in God’s eyes! (Matt. 15:9)
Instead of my theology, I should submit to God’s theology!

Islamic Theology, and the same theology that has this to say about Jesus (peace and blessing be upon him) in Surah 3 – Ali ‘Imran of the Qur’an:
003.045 Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! God giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to God;
003.046 "He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous."
003.047 She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?" He said: "Even so: God createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, ‘Be,’ and it is!
003.048 "And God will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel,
003.049 "And (appoint him) an apostle to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "’I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by God’s leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by God’s leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe;
003.050 "’(I have come to you), to attest the Law which was before me. And to make lawful to you part of what was (Before) forbidden to you; I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord. So fear God, and obey me.
003.051 "’It is God Who is my Lord and your Lord; then worship Him. This is a Way that is straight.’"
003.052 When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: "Who will be My helpers to (the work of) God?" Said the disciples: "We are God’s helpers: We believe in God, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims.
003.053 "Our Lord! we believe in what Thou hast revealed, and we follow the Apostle; then write us down among those who bear witness."
003.054 And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and God too planned, and the best of planners is God.
003.055 Behold! God said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.
003.056 "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."
003.057 "As to those who believe and work righteousness, God will pay them (in full) their reward; but God loveth not those who do wrong."
003.058 "This is what we rehearse unto thee of the Signs and the Message of Wisdom."
003.059 The similitude of Jesus before God is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was.
003.060 The Truth (comes) from God alone; so be not of those who doubt.
003.061 If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of God on those who lie!"
003.062 This is the true account: There is no god except God; and God-He is indeed the Exalted in Power, the Wise.
003.063 But if they turn back, God hath full knowledge of those who do mischief.
003.064 Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than God." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to God’s Will).
